CHEF PHILLIP DELL

Chef Phillip Dell is a native of Northern Michigan. He found his love of cooking through his mother and cooking show icons Martin Yan and Justin Wilson. Phillip quickly became the chef in the family.

Chef Phillip started "professionally" in the food industry at the age of twelve working for a local butcher shop and various restaurants. In High school, he took every food class that was offered and attended a local Career Tech center where he obtained two certificates in culinary arts. It was then that he found his true love- Baking and Pastry Arts. While attending the career tech center, Chef Phillip was president of the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America. During that time he received two gold medals, two silver and one bronze in the commercial baking category.

From northern Michigan, Chef Phillip moved to Providence, Rhode Island to attend the International Baking and Pastry arts institute at Johnson & Wales University where he received an Associates in Baking and Pastry Arts. While at Johnson & Wales, Chef Phillip was a member of the American Culinary Federation's junior culinary team. The team took top honors and gold medals in all categories.

Chef Phillip now lives in Las Vegas where he works as a personal chef specializing in health and fitness. Previously in Las Vegas, he was the Executive Pastry and Baking Sous Chef at the world-renown Wynn Casino and Resort. Although baking and pastry may be Chef Phillip's passion, he is also a professional barbequer- competing on the national barbeque circuit. He recently became fascinated with bodybuilding, lost 92 pounds and started competing. See his write-up below on bodybuilding.com.
